Seeking Qualified Urban Farm Docents

guideNovember 14,  2015 – Bluebird Canyon Farms is seeking  qualified applicants interested in community supported urban agriculture, permaculture, sustainable living  and ecological restoration issues to act as volunteer docents at the farm.  Docents will meet and greet guests during our weekly farm tours and interact and share information with the public about the farm and its various programs.   A minimum of ten (10) hours per month are required for participation in this program.   “The farm continues to generate a great deal of excitement among the public,”  according to Operations Director Scott Tenney, and “ we continue to seek ways to exchange ideas and share information with the community and believe the Docent program is an excellent way to improve these opportunities,” adds Tenney. Individuals interested in this program are encouraged to submit a volunteer application which can be accessed on the organizations website or obtained by contacting us at bluebirdcanyonfarms@cox.net. Please include a reference to Volunteer Docents in the subject header of your email.
